Short Film Progress Check 18

This week our group worked on shot production. We divided up our shots up for the bathroom scene, since it's the majority of our film, and as a group laid out all of our shots with cameras and blocking animation in maya. We were going to push our pipeline through unreal and nuke, but an error occurred and we had to solve the tech issues. We managed to solve them at the end of the week, so during the weekend we should be able to push our pipeline through unreal and nuke.

I specifically laid out many shots in maya (camera, layout, and basic blocking animation) and finished the ones I was assigned, minus putting them in unreal and nuke for reasons previously mentioned.

While some of our team members were working on solutions for Unreal and Nuke, I was assigned extra layout to make up for them so they could focus on a solution. So I also ended up blocking out these extra shots in maya.

By this weekend, or at least our meeting outside of official class meetings, we'll have all of the shots exported through Unreal and into Nuke for our storyboard. By the next production pass we're going to try and get as many of the non-bathroom shots done as we can so the majority of our storyboard is in 3D. Till next time!
